Samsung’s new device, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is in the production pipeline and expected to unveil sometime later this year. Needless to say, rumors and leaks have since surfaced with renders to flaunt what the latest edition of the Galaxy Note lineup would look like.
Today marks the resurfacing of another rumor. This one comes in the form of an image leak from accessory manufacturer Olixar. The image confirms the design of the phone and also sheds light on the possible connectivity port of the Galaxy Note 7. In the picture, it can be witnessed that the device is sporting a USB Type-C Port.
The port can be seen at the bottom of the device which is standard case scenario. Along with the port is the presence of the S-Pen slot and loudspeaker module on one side while the slot to accommodate the headphones is on the other side. The image also confirms the rumored Iris Scanner which was heard to be a part of the phone; the rumor was ignored, however, due to its incredulous nature.
The presence of USB Type-C port in the Galaxy Note 7 would make it the first Samsung device to sport the reversible connection port. The consequence of this move would be incompatibility of the current Gear VR headset with the Galaxy Note 7 due to the fact that the headset needs a microUSB compatible port for connectivity. This means that the company might also be working on unveiling a new Gear VR headset.
