The Vibe series started off as Lenovo’s premium range of smartphones back in the year 2013 with the release of the much anticipated Vibe X and Vibe Z. However, the company gradually toned down their price tags to accommodate mid and low budget crowd segments. Speculations and leaks up till now point that Lenovo’s latest phone in the Vibe Series; the Vibe C would be another addition in the budget category. A Croatian retail website, eKupi was spotted selling the phone with a price tag of $105 on pre-order. The phone is reported to start shipping from the 18th of May.
The phone is touted to be the successor of Lenovo’s A2010 which was released in 2015 and was labeled as one of the most affordable 4G ready smartphone in the market. The Vibe C is expected to flaunt a polycarbonate body similar to the recently released Vibe K5 and K5 Plus.
The leaked specifications have revealed that the Vibe C would incorporate a 720p resolution IPS display spanning at 5 inches.
The phone is expected to run Snapdragon’s 210 quad-core processor which clocks in at 1.1 GHz. The 210 is a 32-bit chipset and to support this setup, the Vibe C will incorporate 1GB of RAM.
The phone is expected to come in two variants, 8GB and 16GB which could be further bolstered through a microSD expansion slot (expected to be up to 32GB).
The phone is expected to run on the slightly older Android 5.1 (Lollipop) having the Vibe UI Skin layered on top of it.
The camera snapper is expected to be 5MP on the rear side, accommodating a single LED flash while the front one is expected to be a 2MP shooter.
The Vibe C will accommodate plentiful of battery and is reported to support a big 2300 mAh battery which would run the phone for a day and then some.
SIM Slots: Vibe C will accommodate dual SIMs, both supporting 4G LTE.
USB Port: Vibe C would support microUSB 2.0 and most probably will endorse OTG capabilities.
Undoubtedly, the Vibe C would be one of the best smartphones to grab if you are on a tight budget. The phone definitely ticks all of the basic requirements while still staying budget friendly.
