Red Dead Redemption, one of the classic bestseller available on the Xbox 360 franchise is finally gaining backward compatibility for the Xbox One. The game based on the Western theme crafted by the spectacular developers at Rockstar Games can now be installed on your Xbox One with either a disc or through the Xbox Store via digital download (bear in mind that the download bears an approximate size of 7.4 GB).
The players who already own a digital copy of the game, Red Dead Redemption on their Xbox 360 console will have the game appear in their Xbox One Games Collection and they can download it simply by choosing the option from the menu.
Express reported that the developers at Rockstar Games have confirmed that all the variants of the game including the ‘Undead Nightmare’ version and the ‘Game of the Year Edition’ have gained compatibility with the Xbox One console.
There is another reason to rejoice for gamers who are playing the game on their Xbox One Console and that is, the announcement of a plethora of discounts on DLCs by Rockstar Games. A few DLC Packs such as The Legends and Killers, Liars and Cheats, Outlaws will now be available at zero cost while expansion packs such as Hunting and Trading and Myths and Mavericks are also included in the zero cost deal.
The larger content, however, which includes the Undead Nightmare DLC along with some small, cosmetic downloads such as Deadly Assassin, Golden Guns, and War Horse would be available at a discounted rate.
The original version of the game is available at a discounted price of $10.79 for regular users while Xbox Live Gold members can avail it for a further discounted price of $7.49. Undead Nightmare, the larger DLC of the game is available for a price tag of $9.99.
A special discount bundle (main game and Undead Nightmare DLC) has also been released; however, it is limited to gamers hailing from the UK.  They can avail the bundle pack for £13.49.
As soon as the announcement was made by Rockstar Games, sales of the games at Online Retailer, Amazon gained a stellar hike of 6000% with many players not even waiting for the discount bundles to pop up.
The next installment in the Red Dead Franchise is due soon and speculations have strengthened after a game map from the upcoming sequel leaked on the internet.
