OPPO, the up and coming smartphone brand is working on a successor to their critically acclaimed Find 7, which was released back in 2014. The new phone is rumored to be titled Find 9 and hints about it have been revealed on countless occasions. However, the latest leaks shed light on what the Find 9 would probably look like. The renders were published on Weibo and the article alleged that a release date of late August has been set for the smartphone.
As per the leaked renders of the phone, the Find 9 can be seen bragging a sleek and stylish with minimal bezel display. Furthermore, the top and bottom of the device seem to be showcasing two multicolored LED strips. The USB port is ambiguously visible due to the presence of watermarks on the render; hence we could not determine the type of port that would be in place. If the renders are true, then the upcoming Find 9 will share a lot of design cues with its predecessor, Find 7.
The company hasn’t made any official statement about the equipment the new device would boast. However, the rumor mill has some leaks and if they are to be believed then the device will pack quite a punch. The device is alleged to boast a 5.5 Inch QHD display bearing a resolution of 2560×1440 having a dual edge AMOLED display. To power up the stellar phone, Qualcomm’s latest offering the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor would work and it will be complemented by Adreno 530 GPU. Rumors have further hinted that the device would come in two variants, one, with 128GB storage and 8GB whereas the other would be the slightly lower variant.
In the camera department, the device will brag a 21-megapixel camera in the rear department while the camera module will be coupled with SmartSensor image stabilization. For the front camera, a 16-megapixel snapper is in place which will be highly similar to OPPO’s F1 Plus. The phone is expected to be powered by a massive battery pack bearing 4,100mAh battery and having support for Super VOOC Flash Charge technology. A little surprising was the fact that the rumor stated the device would be running on Android Lollipop 5.1 working under the Color OS 3.0 skin. We expect phones releasing this year to be running on Marshmallow out-of-the-box. However, if the spec sheet is true, the phone will be a major delight for phone geeks.
