Motorola dropped their flagship X series, this year and released their new flagship devices under the Moto Z Series. Rumors have started circulating about two spectacular handsets offering in the Moto Z Series and they would be titled as Moto Z Play and Moto Z Style. Many folks from the tech community believe that Moto Z Play is definitely going to be a reality as the benchmark scores for the phone came up on GeekBench’s Benchmark Database. In the following article, we will be rounding the rumors that we have heard up till now.
MotoClub HK posted pictures on their website about Moto Z back replacement covers which would be featured in the MotoMaker. A Chinese source further reported that all of Z Series phones would feature a fingerprint sensor, having the same placement as Motorola’s recent release Moto G4 Plus.
In the specifications department, it is expected that both the devices will feature impeccable processing abilities coupled with decent camera performance and buttery smooth interface.
Early Speculations have suggested that the devices might fall between the 5.0 and 5.5 inches screen size; 5.5 being the most expected choice. The display would be a QHD one with one source claiming that the pixel density would be 520 ppi. Motorola started preferring AMOLED panels over IPS displays so Moto Z might continue the tradition with an AMOLED panel.
In the rear camera department, Moto Z Style is expected to boast a heavy 16 Megapixel shooter with expectations of the camera being able to record 1080p quality videos at a maximum frame rate of 120 fps. Moto Z Play is expected to bear a 13 Megapixel camera. Both the cameras are expected to be equipped with Dual LED flash.
Moto Z Style is rumored to feature Qualcomm’s fastest offering Snapdragon 820 whereas Moto Z Play might run the slower but nevertheless a great performer Qualcomm Snapdragon 625.
Both the phones are expected to come equipped with at least 3 GB of RAM with many sources claiming that Moto Z Style would have 4 GB of RAM. Some rumors have suggested the possibility of two variants for Moto Z Play with one featuring 3 GB of RAM and smaller internal storage while the other bears 4 GB of RAM. The phones are also expected to have microSD expansion slots available.
Both phones will come equipped with the ability to work seamlessly with MotoMods which would make the phones highly future-proof.
