The upcoming device which is a successor to the highly acclaimed V10 will feature a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC (digital to analogue converter). The Quad DAC feature is included to enhance the audio playback of the phone. It must be noted that V20 will be the first phone to feature Quad DAC.

The statement was released to the media via an email where the company stated that during the usage of wired headphones, the device will deliver crisp and clear sound. It must be recalled that LG’s V10 also had a 32-bit Hi-Fi DAC; however, the new DAC is a major improvement over the 32-bit one. LG stated that the company worked with ESS Technology in order to formulate the Quad DAC. ESS technology is one of the leaders in the crafting of high-performance analog and audio devices.

Juno Cho, President of LG stated that as we move forward in time, customers want to see their devices mature and not just in the sense of processing power and display sizes but in an overall manner. Needless to say, the significance of high-quality audio cannot be overlooked as smartphones move towards bringing a holistic multimedia experience to their users.

LG undoubtedly has high hopes for the device and is trying their level best to effectively market the device. The company has given away key information, mentioning the launch date and stating that the device would be running Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The company has also made the claims that V20 would be the first smartphone to be running the Nougat version of Android at the time of launch.

Meanwhile, rumors and leaks have revealed multiple press renders of the device which showcase the device in multiple positions. The secondary always on display is the first thing one notices on the front panel while the rear section of the device exhibits a dual camera setup while a modular chin similar to LG’s G5 can also be seen.
