South Korea’s most renowned technological enterprise, LG recently unveiled four new devices to its X Series of smartphones. But, the company didn’t stop there; instead it has pushed another smartphone in its K Series lineup titled as LG K3. The phone would be available on two of Sprint’s carriers namely Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. The LG K3 is the fifth addition to the K-Series lineup. Other phones of the series include LG’s K5, K7, K8 and K10. The device basically comes bestowed with entry level specifications (Nothing too flashy) and has an affordable price tag. The camera front does have some features including Cheese Stutter and Gesture Shot features.
The LG K3 smartphone comes endowed with a 4.5 inch IPS FWGA display panel running a resolution of 854 x 480 Pixels and has a pixel density of 218 ppi. Under the hood, the device comes equipped with a Snapdragon 210 which is a quad-core processor clocked at 1.1 GHz. The processor is complemented by an Adreno 304 GPU and is running the latest flavor of Android operating system namely Android 6.0 Marshmallow. All this is powered by 1GB of RAM. The device provides a dual SIM setup and offers dual standby options while supporting fast speed network connectivity through 4G LTE. The smartphone also offers mobile hotspot and roaming plans across Mexico.
Some of the other connectivity options supported by the device include support for both 2G and 3G networks on various bands while also providing basic options like Bluetooth, A-GPS and Wi-Fi. Internally the phone house 8 GB of storage which can be further expanded to 32 GB through the addition of microSD card.
On the camera front, the device features a 5 Megapixel autofocus equipped rear camera provided with LED Flash and an HD Camcorder. Whereas, the front snapper is a VGA camera ideal for video chats and some low quality selfies.
The device houses a 1940mAh capacity battery which LG claims will last you throughout the day. The device will come in two color variants namely black and white, and the device sports a meager price tag of $79.99. LG has already started taking pre-orders from today and rollout to all retailer markets will begin from next week. Prior to this LG announced another smartphone titled LG K8 V which would be available through Verizon Wireless Communications and boasted a price tag of $144.The company also launched a smartphone for its Taiwanese market called the LG Stylus 2 Plus which bears the price tag of $340.
